PNG, SVG or PDF: which file for home printing, print shops or plotters?
MyCityMap offers three kinds of downloads. They differ in how the map is stored and what you can do with the file.
PNG (Raster, €2)
A high-resolution image exported at 300 dpi. Ideal for home printers, photo services and sharing on screen. Like any image, it has a fixed number of pixels.
SVG (Vector Low, €4)
A vector file: roads, borders and text are stored as paths, so it scales without losing quality. Open it in design software such as Inkscape, Illustrator or Affinity to make your own changes, or use it for cutting and plotting.
SVG + PDF (Vector High, €8)
You get both the vector SVG and a PDF built from the same poster. PDF is the format most print shops ask for.

- Which file should I send to a print shop?
